What I most enjoy about working in the tech leadership team at giffgaff is the strong commitment to excellence and driving business impact through our technology solutions that leverage machine intelligence. Particularly, in Data Science, ML and Data Engineering, we have developed the necessary technology foundations and scalable cloud data platform in a modern tech stack, which enables our Data Scientists and ML Engineers to run through the cycles of iteration in AI/ML tech development in days rather than months.

We recently partnered with an exciting company called Hatch whose remit is to solve the digital skills gap, drive positive social change and create more inclusive opportunities.

Our first 11 candidates, from all walks of life, joined an intensive 12-week bootcamp. They learnt software developing skills such as Pair Programming, HTML and CSS, UX, React, ReactNative. All of the giffgaff academy joiners are now permanent Trainee Junior Software Engineers working within our product teams. To find out more about our Coding academy, see our community post.
